British
International Doctors' Association, was formally established
as ODA (Overseas Doctors' Association) in 1975. Thanks
to the commitment and dedication of its members, it has
grown into a well recognised organisation among the UK medical
circles.
The continuous growth of BIDA as an effective
organisation will assure a very bright future for its
members. Let us re-dedicate ourselves to this goal.
We have a number of active Divisions around the country.
I personally believe that the core strength of this
organisation lies with its Divisions. Many national
events are conducted regularly by these Divisions and
the meetings are highly interactive and
informative, promoting a good social and academic
interaction among the Members.
The most important of all the meetings is the Annual
Representative Meeting held over two days, usually in
September every year. All the motions get debated, at
times passionately, and after much brainstorming, future
policies of BIDA are ratified in this meeting.
As you are aware, the main objective of BIDA is to
assist the International Medical Graduates in their
further education and career development. I hope you
find this website useful.
I would particularly like to thank Mr Saibaba Pamidi
for his help in the creation of this website. The
website is now being maintained by Dr Bala Raju and the
ongoing development of this site will involve the active
participation of its members. Please feel free to send
in any suggestions, comments or articles to info@bidaonline.org.uk.
Looking forward for your utmost cooperation.
With Best Wishes,
Dr Prasad Rao
